HIGHLIGHTS

A new state-of-the-art family aquatic facility which replaced an existing municipal pool. Barber & Hoffman was involved with the design and detailing of the reinforced concrete walls and foundations for the new lap swimming pool (25-meter lap lanes), the vortex whirlpool, the tot pool, and the spray ground areas. We were also involved in the design of the new bath house, entrance canopy, pump equipment house, covered dining pavilion, concession area structure, and a new tot pool surge tank. The project included working in close coordination with the pool consultants and providing special attention to concrete details to ensure the water-tightness of the pool structure.

The recently completed aquatic facility is designed to provide water features for every age and ability. The $5 million dollar facility replaced the existing ‘conventional’ pool with state-of-the-art facilities including: zero-depth entry, play water features, 5 separate waterslides, a current channel, a vortex/whirlpool, two spray-grounds, a separate 8-lane 25-meter lap pool, one and three-meter diving boards, in-water bubble benches, and a special infant and tot pool. Surrounding the water features are additional site amenities including: extra-wide shade umbrellas for the expansive deck areas, a concession area, covered dining pavilion and a bathhouse complete with family changing rooms and a new entry and guard facility.
