UPMC is a global health enterprise headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and one of the leading nonprofit health systems in the United States. As western Pennsylvania’s largest employer, with almost 50,000 employees, UPMC has integrated 20 hospitals, 400 doctors’ offices and outpatient sites, long-term care facilities and a major health insurance services division. The project includes 116-beds, approximately 96-medical/surgical units, six operating rooms and a 16-bay emergency department. The sixth floor and other areas accommodate future growth. This new hospital will improve UPMC’s presence within Pittsburgh’s eastern suburbs.
