The Brecksville Police Station includes a 2-story jail/housing and a regional dispatch center. The city currently employs about 30 officers, plus dispatchers and jailers. In addition, the building contains a 75-foot-long firing range to allow officers to train with all types of firearms.
Brecksville shares the dispatch center with the city of Independence. The two cities also share each other’s jails. More communities are expected to join the dispatch center, which has been designed for a capacity of up to 12 communities.
