The Gleneagles Golf Club in Twinsburg, Ohio is a new golf clubhouse situated on the 18-hole course owned by the City. The sprawling wooded course has had recent improvements made and is listed in the top ten for places to go for business golf by Inside Business. Ultimately the City decided it was time for the outdated and undersized existing clubhouse to be replaced.
The 19,000 SF clubhouse features a stocked pro shop, restaurant and bar, full-service kitchen and a grand ballroom that can accommodate 250 guests for community events, weddings or business meetings. An accessible lower level garage was included in the design to house over 80 golf carts and maintenance vehicles. The new larger facility replaces the smaller existing clubhouse.
The roof structure above the grand ballroom clear-spanned over 50 ft to allow for a column free space. An operable partition wall supported on the clear spanning roof structure was included in the design to allow the ballroom to be divided into separate banquet halls.
